Big Brother Awards international

Les Big Brother Awards France seront attribués pour la première fois cette année.

Mais l’idée en soi n’est pas nouvelle. En 1998, l’organisation de défense des droits de l’Homme Privacy International a organisé l’attribution des premiers Big Brother Awards à Londres afin d’"honorer" des individus, organisations, autorités et entreprises encourageant la surveillance et le contrôle de personnes ou groupes de personnes. Depuis, des Big Brother Awards ont été attribués aux Etats-Unis et en Autriche.

Cette année, plusieurs organisations en Allemagne, en Autriche et en Suisse ont attribué leurs Big Brother Awards de façon coordonnée le 26 octobre 2000.
